Secondly, it provides information and support for the software that I produce. In summary, my name is Peter R. Bloomfield. I am a software engineer at Vertual, which specialises in creating virtual environments to provide radiotherapy training. I am also finishing my PhD at UWS (my research field is broadly virtual worlds + education), and am a computer games developer, musician, and all-round geek.

I am also a committed Christian, and my faith has played a huge part in getting me to where I am today.

What is my expertise?

Professionally-speaking, I am primarily a computer programmer. I work mainly with C++, and have developed applications using Win32 and MFC, as well as OpenGL for graphics. I have also used C# substantially, primarily for developing tools. My experience also extends to back-end web-development, working mainly with PHP and SQL.

I have experience on other platforms as well, and my skills are versatile. I am always interested in learning about new and interesting techniques and platforms.
